Dr. Robert Pinto
Dr. Robert Pinto, co-founder of Pinto Innovative Health & Wellness, brings over 30 years of chiropractic expertise to the Williamsburg community. Certified through the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board, Dr. Pinto has trained extensively in physical rehabilitation and sports medicine, including serving on the sports medicine team at the College of William & Mary for 26 years. He specializes in Extremity Adjusting and is deeply committed to the health and wellness of his patients.
Dr. Anne Pinto
As co-founder and CEO of Pinto Innovative Health and Wellness, Dr. Anne Pinto has led the team for over three decades since graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic. With a B.S. in microbiology from Clemson University, she combines her scientific expertise with a passion for fostering wellness in the community. Dr. Anne is dedicated to creating a vibrant life filled with joy and adventure, both for her family and the patients she serves. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities and spending quality time with her three daughters and their families.
Dr. Emilie Pinto
Dr. Emilie Pinto, a dedicated physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, focuses on enhancing patients’ quality of life by improving mobility and daily function. A cum laude graduate from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Pinto was honored as the Student D.O. of the Year in 2019. She completed her PM&R residency at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Pinto’s professional interests include integrative pain medicine, regenerative medicine, and lifestyle medicine. In her free time, she enjoys being on the water, bringing smiles to faces, and spending time with her fiancé and their two doodles.
Kristina Licursi, DNP, FNP-BC
Kristina Licursi, DNP, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to empowering patients through education and a holistic approach to wellness. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Massachusetts in 2025. Before that, she obtained both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2014) and Master of Science in Clinical Nurse Leadership (2019) from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Kristina completed her clinical training in women’s health, sleep medicine, and allergy. Her professional interests include women’s health, preventive care, and patient education. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she spent over a decade as a registered nurse in emergency, intensive care, and flight nursing. Outside of work, Kristina enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and spending time outdoors with her husband and their three children.
Michele Heisel
Michele Heisel, a licensed athletic trainer with 19 years of certification from the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers, holds a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from California University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Education with a specialization in Sports Medicine from the University of Virginia. In 2018, Michele was recognized as the Clinical & Emerging Practices Athletic Trainer of the Year by the Virginia Athletic Trainers’ Association. When away from the office, Michele loves spending time with her husband and three daughters.
Jared Howell
Jared Howell is a licensed Athletic Trainer with over 20 years of experience, dedicated to helping individuals improve movement, comfort, and functionality to fully engage in the activities they love. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Exercise Science from The College of Charleston and a Master of Science in Education (MSEd) in Athletic Training from Old Dominion University. Outside the office, Jared enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Jennifer, and their two sons, Jaxson and Jamison. An outdoor enthusiast, he can often be found camping, hiking, running, and exploring nature’s beauty.
Christine Lawrence
Christine Lawrence, the nutrition and lifestyle consultant at Pinto Innovative Health and Wellness, partners with patients to implement actionable, realistic lifestyle changes for sustainable weight loss and rehabilitation. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the College of William and Mary, Christine integrates the nutritional impact on brain health and longevity with aesthetic and mobility goals to create a truly holistic approach. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her puppy, playing the fiddle, and cooking with friends and family.
Jaiden Smith
Jaiden Smith is our Rehab Specialist, assisting with therapeutic modalities and exercises with patients. She is a graduate of Christopher Newport University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Psychology. Combining her research experience with her lifelong love of sports has helped her connect with patients and improve their lives through therapeutic movement Outside of the office, Jaiden enjoys listening to music, reading and writing, and drawing.

Mandy O’Berry
Mandy is the patient advocate at Pinto Innovative Health and Wellness with over 15 years of experience championing chiropractic care and holistic medicine. After spending more than two decades in the restaurant industry, she transitioned her focus to helping others improve their physical well-being. Dedicated to creating a supportive and welcoming environment, Mandy ensures that all patients are seen promptly and feel celebrated throughout their wellness journey. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, playing her guitar, relaxing at the beach, and cherishing moments with her Ohana.
